A rebellious army formed by workers led by Father Miguel Hidalgo and Allende, fought a smaller group but better equipped, there were more insurgents than spaniards, but the spaniards were disciplined meanwhile the insurgents weren’t. Spaniards destroyed the insurgent ammo with a cannonball, as a consequence most of the insurgent army died. Miguel Hidalgo and Allende were forced to leave Guadalajara.
This battle was one of the most important struggles in the independence because after it happened Miguel Hidalgo and Allende were executed.
