In 1949, Donnelly College was opened by the Benedictine Sisters of Mt. St. Scholastica and George Donnelly. The Catholic college on 19th St. offers several Bachelors degrees and is considered one of the most enthnically diverse colleges in the midwest.

The image is of the old Providence Hospital building, which sat next to the College's modern buildings and has been removed to make a much needed green space for the College.
