This article examines the everyday literacy practices associated with skateboarding. Building on observations from a local skateboard park in Melbourne, it utilises Green's 3D model of literacy to explore how skateboarders make meaning within their subculture. It considers the complex identities that students bring to the classroom and how educators could mobilise these in classroom practice.
