This battle occured when a group of Germanic people attacked a group of Roman soldiers. The Germanic people were led by Arminius, who recieved a Roman military education. Due to Arminius' background, the Romans were able to defeat the Romans. Despite various efforts, the Romans were unable to regain control of that Germanic territory.
