President Obama issued this executive order through which undocumented immigrants that entered the U.S. illegally as children could eventually become eligible for work visas through a specific procedural process. This was an attempt to respond humanity to an ongoing issue of illegal immigration through the U.S. southern border due to extreme poverty and violence in certain South American and Central American countries.
