On February 9, 1861 six more states followed South Carolina’s secession to create the Confederate States of America. It was formed by each leader from the seven seceded states met in Montgomery, Alabama and formed their new nation, the Confederate States of America. Having created this new nation showed the physical split between the north and the south, and dividing the country into 2 doffernt parts.
