The Twin Territories agreed to the terms of the Oklahoma Enabling Act and submitted a constitution to the U.S. government. On November 16, 1907 Oklahoma becomes the forty-sixth state of the United States of America. To celebrate statehood, there is a mock wedding between a white man from Oklahoma Territory and a part Cherokee woman from Indian Territory.
