Graces 14th birthday. Her grandparents throw her a small party (it was just Teddy, Grace, her grandparents, and her sister), and give her gifts. Teddy gives her a necklace with a stone ring on it, and a box of hard candy from Alice. They dance with her sister and grandparents until everyone's too tired to stand. Teddy falls asleep in Grace's bed.
