The Election took place during WW2 and was between Incumbent Democratic Franklin Roosevelt and Republican Thomas E. Dewey. Franklin Roosevelt would win in an electoral college landslide and win his fourth term as President. However, Roosevelt’s ill health was a concern during this election and he would later die 3 months into office.
