The Great Sioux war is the various battles between the United States Government and the tribes of the Sioux Native American nation. During this war the Sioux peoples fought against the U.S. goverment to avoid being forced onto reservations. This war was filled with heavy casulties with the Sioux people specifically the Cheyennes being led by Crazy Horse unitl they were starved out by the U.S. in the winter of 1877.
