1 jan 367 ano antes da era comum - Licinian-Sextian laws passed

Descrição:

“Licinius and Sextius were plebeian tribunes in the fourth century B.C.E. who mounted a sweeping assault on patrician privilege…Though historians continue to debate exactly what these Licinian-Sextian laws were, they apparently gave wealthy plebeians access to all the offices of Rome, including the right to hold one of the two consulships. Once plebeians could hold the consulship, they could also sit in the Senate and advise on policy...Though decisive, this victory did not end the Struggle of the Orders, which happened only in 287 B.C.E. with the passage of the lex Hortensia. This law gave the resolutions of the Plebeian Assembly the force of law for patricians and plebeians alike."
