In Septemeber 1939 Canada officially declared war on Germany. this was a big step for Canadas independance. In 1914 when Britan declared war on Gemrnay in WW1 Canada was officially in the war because Britan was. But in WW2 Canada was not forced to figth with the Brittish. There was very little doubt that Canada would fight though, because they were loyal to Britan and France.
