Descrição:
Pax Romana was an era of relative peace throughout the Mediterranean region that extended from the rule of Augustus to the reign of Marcus Aurelius. Roman emperors during the Pax Romana generally focused on centralizing power rather than expansion of the boundaries of the empire. The period of the Pax Romana was marked by many notable figures whose contributions helped make this era Rome's "Golden Age." Augustus, the first of the Roman emperors, helped establish the Pax Romana. After two centuries, the death of Marcus Aurelius, the last emperor of Rome's Golden Age, brought an end to this period of relative peace.
