The Reform Act of 1867 is one of many British franchising reforms this one in particular gives the Urban Male the right to vote in British elections. This is incredibly important because that demographic is hugely important in British politics. What the act did societally was expand on the principle that all British citizens should be able to vote and further represent themselves in their own government.
