I got gas with my mom today and realized that globalization plays a large role in the oil industry leaving a large impact on the environment. Oil is a resource that is in very high demand everywhere and only so many countries have this resource in their country. Canada is one of those countries, causing a large chunk of Canada's income to come from the oil industry. (One of Canada's largest exports). Despite the fact that we are exposing the world to new markets, the extraction of oil causes a lot of pollution.
