1 jan 1535 ano - Fantasia VII
Descrição:
Composer: Luis de Milán
This was a fantasia composed for vihuela. The vihuela is a Spanish plucked chordophone, related to the lute and viol. It became the preferred instrument of the nobility and was associated with royal musicians in Spanish courts. Fantasias are instrumental works whose style and form varied widely, inspired by the composer. Milán’s fantasias use a tripartite structure. They open with an extended melodic episode based on imitation or polyphonic patterns, followed by a series of shorter melodic themes, and they conclude with a final episode that is repeated with a coda the second time. Thus, Fantasia VII conveys a story of struggle, victory (1:07), and a happily ever after.
