12 member states found the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, where if one state is attacked, it will be treated as an attack on all the states involved, made up of democratic states: Belgium, Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and the United States.
