1974 Leonard Gray b. 1955 d. 2006, played in the NBA from 1974-1977. Gray was a graduate of Sumner High School. He was a 6’8” power forward known for being a great rebounder. Gray received a scholarship to Long Beach State with the legendary coach Jerry Tarkanian. At Long Beach he was selected Pacific Coast League Player of the Year in 1973 averaging 14.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He was selected in the 2nd round by the Atlanta Hawks. Gray averaged 10.8 points per game in his professional career.
