Descrição:

1970 Lucius Allen b. 1947 played in the NBA from 1970-1979. He was a graduate of Wyandotte High School in 1966 where he received national attention for his shooting skills in the guard position. Allen won back to back Kansas State High School Championships with legendary head high school basketball coach Walt Shublom. Allen’s dominance in high school induced The Topeka-Capital Journal to declare thirty-three years later in 1999 that Allen was the greatest high school basketball player of all time. Allen received a scholarship to UCLA in 1966 and started on two of John Wooden’s National Championship teams in 1967 and 1968. Allen was suspended in a nationally publicized sports news during his senior year at UCLA for possession of a small amount of marijuana after being warned once. Allen was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the 1st round as 3rd pick overall in 1971. He played again with Lew Alcindor on the NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks that year. Allen NBA career spanned 10 years where amassed 9,407 points and 13.4 points per game. Allen was elected to the Pacific 12 Conference Hall of Fame in 2013. He is one of few basketball players in history to have played on teams that won a High School State Championship, A National Collegiate Championship, and a Professional NBA Championship.
