Louisiana Purchase

"The reason that the Louisiana Purchase and the Revolution of 1800 relate was because Jefferson was the one to purchase the land." France got Louisiana from a treaty with Spain in 1800. Jefferson did not like the idea of the French in their territory, so he tried to purchase New Orleans and some land east of it for ten million and Napoleon sold the whole territory of Louisiana for fifteen million. This led to the exploration of Lewis and Clark doing a scientific research all the way to Oregon.
