Her new journal shows important happenings and discussions. It is more literary in that she is not simply documenting her life but documenting what might be recycled in her writing. She starts writing more freely, as she will be leaving for college and will not have to fear her mother looking at her journals. More unkind thoughts, bodily functions and sexual fantasies will appear.
