British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt and Canadian Foreign Secretary Chrystia Freeland issued a joint statement, urging the Hong Kong government to fully consider the concerns of Hong Kong and relevant stakeholders in the international community about the amendment bill, which will affect a large number of citizens of the two countries residing in Hong Kong, as well as the business confidence and international reputation of Hong Kong and the rights and freedoms of Hong Kong people as protected by the Sino-British Joint Declaration.
