More than 3,000 Hong Kong accountants issued a joint letter to Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam, in which they raised a number of demands, including the establishment of a statutory independent commission of inquiry to investigate the July 21 attack, the government's approach when the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance was being amended, the police's handling of demonstrations and the relaunch of political reform.
