The Professional Commons and the Hong Kong Democratic Foundation, two pan-democratic yprofessional organizations, issued an open letter to the Chief Executive Carrie Lam, demanding that the amendments to the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance to be formally withdrawn, a committee of inquiry to be set up to investigate whether there was dereliction of duty and excessive violence and the Yuen Long attack, and a dialogue to be held with the Hong Kong people.
