The Hong Kong Social and Political Organization Workers' Union held a meeting in Chater Garden in the evening. The chairman of the union, Cheng Yin Kee, said that since the anti-modification demonstration, legislators, district council members and their assistants have been subjected to police violence, hoping that police would not arrest them indiscriminately and use violence to disperse the demonstrators.
