(1478-1834): Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain chose Catholicism as the main religion in Spain and built the Inquisition to purify Spain as a Catholic religion. It was used until 1834 when it was abolished by a Royal Decree, it effected Spain forever, and ultimately Spain was not effected by the Reformation for this reason.
