The Thirty Years' War brought so much destruction and ruin to Europe. The society of Europe was on the verge of completely separating, so instead, most European states made effort to end the war with the Peace of Westphalia. The treaty set standars for all that made all states equal and no more powerful than one another. This event definetly did not end war, but it did estabish some ground rules.
