Over time the Ming Dynasty became increasingly corrupt, and famines began in the early 16th century, resulting in revolts. This, along with invasions from Manchuria eventually led to the collapse of the Ming Dynasty. The Manchus founded a new dynasty called the Qing dynasty which expanded China with strong leadership.
