The council of Trent was one of the Two important institutions involved in the Catholic Reformation. The meetings consisted of high church officials that would meet sporadically or whenever seen fit. The role of this institution was to identify the elements of the Roman Catholic church, define them, and revise them. They decided that the church needed to become stricter in observation of standards and morals in the church.
