This is when the internet was made for people to use. Like used to send messages and so on. This was the start of a whole new age that would grow to what we have today. It really is and was revolutionary. The internet was "born" in 1983 with ARPNET as a system and it grew form their then was released to the public there after in 1991. The first personal computer was an Altair computer and one of the first you could buy and use with internet also the apple computer I think the IMac was one of the first apple computers for personal use of the Internet.

I put this event in the Technology and Science theme of history.
