After Napoleon’s escape from exile and defeat at Waterloo, the Allies are no longer in the mood to make France comfortable in the treaty terms. France agrees to pay war reparations of 700,000,000 francs and is occupation by an Allied army for a few years, and loses a few of the territories they were initially allowed to retain.
