The U.S. The senate voted 65 to 22 to condemn Senator McCarthy for conduct unbecoming of a senator. This was due to McCarthy stating previously that he had a list of Communist that had infiltrated the U.S. Which was later found to be unsubstantiated and caused many people to be falsely imprisoned.
