Around 11:15 p.m. Pocatello police were dispatched to a disturbance involving Neal Nevada, who was armed with a knife, and a woman. Nevada fled from the scene of the disturbance in a vehicle, and police confronted him about three blocks away, where they shot and killed him. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.
