Bridgett L. Burriss, 40, was abducted and when stopped by police, Donald L. Hunter allegedly shot and wounded her. Police shot and killed Hunter, and Burriss was treated at a hospital. Two Bates County deputies and one Adrian Police Officer were placed on administrative leave.
