On the 13th of February 2008, The Australia Prime Minister Kevin Rudd apologised to the Indigenous Australians. Before this, the Indigenous Australians were discriminated and people were being racist towards them. They were in the Stolen Generation and it took us sometime to realise what we had done to them and how cruel we were to them. We said sorry to the Indigenous Australians because of all the pain and suffering they had to deal with.

This is important because we were saying sorry for all the bad things we did to the Indigenous Australians. The Indigenous Australians are the same as us and they are equal they shouldn't be treated differently because of their colour and race.
