The corollary states that the United States will intervene in conflicts between European countries and Latin American countries to enforce legitimate claims of the European powers, rather than having the Europeans press their claims directly.
It says that the United States does not intervene in a country out of self interest, but in the interest of all of humanity. They will not intervene with countries who act reasonably and civilly but will intervene in countries with chronic wrongdoing with their best interests in mind. “We would interfere with them only as a last result”
Main idea: the United States would act as a mediator between European countries and Latin American countries. The United States was also the “international police force” to keep Latin American countries under control
