The Seneca Falls Convention was originally known as the Woman's Rights Convention because they fought for the social, civil, and religious rights of women. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was a leading civil rights activist and Susan B. Anthony didn't attend the convention but she supported Stanton for fifty years. Resolutions began to come stating that any laws that placed women inferior to men had "no force or authority". The Seneca Falls Convention is important to history because it contributed to ensuring women the right to vote.
