February 6,. K.C. Times reports that a federal Grand Jury is now investigating charges of another $500,000 shakedown attempt involving Albert A. Grorud who drafts Indian Legislation for the Senate interior committee. Grorud allegedly suggested that a former Washington attorney who had collected one of the largest fees ever awarded by the courts contribute $500,000 to a "campaign fund" to re-elect the senators on the interior committee. The FBI investigated and found that the senators had nothing to do with Grorund's alleged proposal. (WNK)
