An Uneasy Alliance
During WWII, the Nationalist and Communist parties of China agreed to join forces temporarily to fight against the Japanese
China’s united army fought back against Japan, receiving aid and supplies from America
When America bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the Japanese surrendered. They were forced to give up all new territory claimed before and during the war.
Once the war ended, fighting broke out again between the Communists and Nationalists.
