April 2016 marked the UK Government’s chosen staging post ‘BIM Level 2’ within its wider BIM programme. BIM Level 2, described as ‘collaborative BIM’ allows participants to define, share and validate outputs via digital transactions through a range of assets delivered in a structured and reusable form.

Following April 2016 the DBB Public Sector Level 2 BIM Working group continues to ensure the mandate was met and help central government departments achieve a state of BIM Level 2 Readiness.
