This was group of solider during the war that supported the left side or wing of the government or didn't want fascism to happen. they assisted the republican democrats through fight and they where large in numbers too when it came down to troop by themselves so they had a large impact for a support. Even though they where large group and high in men they still lost the battles at the end of the day which made them break apart sooner when they where made and sent into battle to support the left wing republican democratic party and that withdraw just started weaking the fight against the fascism and starting to see the bad outcome of the other side wining now. This withdraw of the group started to show the down fall of all supporters beliefs and started to withdraw to and excepting defeat coming soon with Franco's forces looking strong still.
