Occuring at approcimately 10:45 AM the explosion happened while employees were making a batch of isobutylene for the production of coolant and brake fluids. The agency found that a cast iron between two pipes had failed releasing a visible vapor, after this the facility was evacuated and shortly after the vapor cloud exploded. More than were found 30 injured and one dead. The facility was left decimated.
