The Boston Massacre, was known as the incident on king street on March 5, 1770. What happened was 5 colonists had been killed by British soldiers because they were being harassed. The colonists were harassing the officers in the first place because of all the taxes that were being put on them. The British were sent to enforce the Stamp act and Townsend acts. John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Paul Revere all made propaganda that showed what the British were doing to the colonists. The Boston Massacre was one of the reasons for the Revolutionary War. The colonists were upset with the British so they started to get mad and the wanted independence.
