Van Helsing and Seward arrived at Hillingham at 8 o'clock. Lucy was well but a maid told them that she removed the wreath from Lucy's neck because it seemed too strong for her. Van Helsing was angered and looked grave at the end of this. Lucy was drained yet again so they transer blood from Van Helsing to Lucy this time.
