Because Mina is unable to sleep, she diary’s the events of the previous night (aug 10th) in her diary. Lucy tries to get out of the room twice, but can’t because Mina locked the door. Mina sees the two puncture marks on lucy’s neck and thinks that it is from the pin she used to tie the shall around her.
