First computer virus – Aka the “Creeper,” was written by Bob Thomas and was a self-replicating program that used ARPANET to infect DEC PDP-10 computers and display the message, “I’m the creeper, catch me if you can!”. This led to the creation of the first antivirus program called the “Reaper”.
