The news is a source where information about other countries and your own can be found. Based on that aspect of news it can be considered social globalization due to the communication and sharing of information between countries. However, the news can also be political globalization depending on what information is being reported. For example in September when President Trump announced more trade sanctions on Iran. That is political globalization as the United States ideals and beliefs interfered with the trade relationship between those countries.
