The Iranian Coup D'état was an event where the Prime Minister of Iran (Mohammad Mosaddegh) was overthrown by the United States because they wanted Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's rule to be strengthened. Also, Britain controlled Iran's oil and its policies. These countries tried to control Iran because they Cold War was starting and their interest in Iran was growing.
