The Altair 8800 was invented in 1974, by Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS), and the head of this project was Edward Roberts. The Altair 8800 is a computer kit based on the Intel 8080 CPU, and it had a huge impact on the world. This kit revolutionized the computing world by allowing anybody to have their own Personal Computer (PC) if they wished to.
