The 16th president of the US was shot with a Deringer pistol in the head on the 14th of April and died the next morning. This act took place in Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. The murder was John Wilkes Booth (a well-known actor) that was a part of a larger conspiracy that wanted to eliminate the three most important officials in the US.
